A True Family Dog--We'll Miss You!

I remember:
1. Daiton was always happy to see us come home and sad to see us leave.
2. He always knew when we were about to go out of town.
3. He loved to ride in the car--he always expected to go with us.
4. He was very afraid of the thunder and would always hide from it, like under the pool table in the garage.
5. He wanted all of the affection--couldn't love on Cochise too long before he would bark his disapproval and demand his share of love.
6. He had plastic water bottles all over the yard and garage and never tired of playing with them...go figure!
7. One day I came home with some leftover food in a bag, and he snatch it from me and ate it all up. It was my dessert!
8. Daiton loved it when I scratched behind his ears, took him for a walk, let him watch me work on the compost pile, howl at the sirens with him.
9. He was a very friendly dog to everyone who visited. People just thought he was mean because he was a German Shepherd. But he didn't let strangers know that until we approved them.
10. One day the UPS man delivered a package and didn't know Daiton was in the garage. I could tell that Daiton scared him because the package was in the middle of the garage like he had thrown it an ran for his life instead of putting it on the picnic bench or at the front door. LOL
11. You could tell he was a happy dog. I could always hear his tail thumping against the kitchen door where he lay against it at night.
