Mona its been the hardest day of my life. But I know you aren't suffering anymore princess.

Nickname: One Eye Pirate

Mona was the best dog that anyone would have. She was so laid back, friendly and full of live. From what I heard was that she originally came from Hawaii with a Military family, the lady that had her could no longer keep her because of the Military place that was stationed at. So she was given to a young boy named Frankie, he couldn't take care of her very well so she was handed down to my grandma. My grandma and her grew so close. I remember one time I walked in and there she was laying her next to my grandma. She try acting big and tough and it would make people laugh. My grandma came to a point where she was having a hard time taking her out and things.So she came to lived with me and my spouse until she passed.. She was little scared considering she had a bigger sister and a cat. But before long they were all getting along. One thing that took us so long with her was house training. She had for along time thought it was okay to go inside.. But after awhile she learned to let us know when she need to go out, thanks to my husband. Her favorite place to rest where either a chair or on the back of the couch and when she slept boy did she snore loud!. She loved going to the park with her sister and following her everywhere.

Things started to get worse for her. Her left eye was really disgusting because of the pupil sticking out, we originally thought the cat did it, but after a vet visit, the vet didn't think so. We schedule the eye to be removed 5/08/2010, we found out that it was cancer. We thought the worse was over but it was just the beginning of her painful adventure. . We took her to the vet on 5/10/2010 because she was really having a hard time breathing. The next day (5/11/2010) the vet informed us that she has aggressive cancer was the result of having the eye removed cause the cancer to spread like wildfire in her body... I was so tore up and heartbroken, because he had given her 3 weeks to live. We brought her home, and things didn't last long for her. She could no longer stand, eat, play or anything. It about crush me seeing this. On 5/12/2010 at 2:30pm I said my last goodbye to my best friend, my princess as she peacefully passed away with her family beside her.

Right now we are giving all of our love and support to her sister Nikki who right now is depressed wondering where her best friend and sister is at..

It's been a whole year without having Mona around here, Each day is hard for me, when her anniversary came up I cried because she wasn't here.. I have adjusted to everyday life but there isn't a second, minute,a hour, a day, month or even a year that I don't think of Mona, and what she did to my liife. She wasn't just a pug she was dear family memeber to me. She left a paw print in my heart forever.. I know when it comes time for me to go home which won't be for a long long time, I know that she will be waiting there for me or my husband.. I miss her soooooooooooo much.. I love you Mona Lynn.
