Nickname: Jo, Pup ahh dup ahh Doo

Jordan was a very special dog to have had in our lives over the years. He looked after family members and was a great watch dog. He loved to go on long walks around neighborhoods, parks and local schools. While running in the field Jo would prance like a show horse and it was quite something to see. As if he knew he was showing off for all to see with a big smile upon his face. You always knew when Jordan was happy because he was a smiler with great facial expressions. He also enjoyed rides in the car sticking his head out the window to find other dogs to bark at. He loved to grab my socks coming out of the dryer and hid them out in the patio area. Every year at Christmas time he looked forward to welcoming our new x-mas tree by peeing on it. He enjoyed sitting on his favorite blanket at nights and during the day staring out the front window. He also enjoyed lying upside down against the wall with his legs up in the air. In the back yard he guarded the fence by patrolling for squirrels and any other critters that may trespass. He also was a knothole specialist in the fence sniffing with deep breaths all those who were passing by. We had a great life together and he will be sorely missed.

Here is a poem I would like to share with you that we received when we picked up Jordan's ashes.

Titled RAINBOW BRIDGE

It is said that just this side of Heaven is a special place called the RAINBOW BRIDGE. The legend continues that when an animal passes on that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to RAINBOW BRIDGE. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine so our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks in the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
