Dallas, I did not know how special you were to me at the time I adopted you after your mom of 12 years passed away . My friends clients sister was your mom . I was with her that day she got the phone call from her sister , desperately looking for a home for you . I do not know why , but I was inclined to meet you . I never had a dog before .
I went to see you the next day . You were not amused at your disposition , growling at me upon meeting. I took you for a walk and was talking to you and let you know I was sorry for what happened to you and hoped we could be friends. I know you were scared . You looked up at me with those soulful eyes and at that moment I knew I had to take you home .
It was a challenging transition, I know your life must have been rough . So timid you were in the beginning, only love could show you that I would never hurt you . I got a job requiring me to travel . At that time my Dad passed away . It was the most miserable time of my life. At times , I did not even want to get out of bed . I did for you . We went for walks and I talked to you and gave you love , as well as you to me. It was like we were meant to meet . I helped you and return you helped me .
I want to thank you for being my friend . I hope I get to see you again buddy . I miss you and love you . I am sorry we had to say goodbye. We spent only 3 years together , though it feels like so much longer ! ! You were a good boy and all my clients loved you too .
Now you get to be with your mommy who you gave you your name and get to say hello to my Dad .
