Wwe got Tuxedo from a friend when he was 8 weeks old. When she brought him to me I didn't want him, because we had lost a husky recently and wasn't ready for another dog. He was so little and was shaking. My children were upset that I didn't want him. But once I held him I caved in. He was so full of energy. He went everywhere with us, to all soccer practices and games. He loved to ride in the car. One problem was that he liked to run if he was out. While at work one day I got a call that he had been hit. My vet had to put a pin in his leg, and his injury stopped him from taking off. He still loved to go for walks. we would walk at leat 2-3 miles every day, even in the winter. My children were 12 and 8, and are now adults. In his 18th year he developed a tumor in his stomach and the vet said that he needed to be put down. My heart was broken, because he wa really my dog. Attached at my hip and followed me around in this house whereever I went. Downstairs to do laundry even if it was five times a day. He slept on my pillow. I put off the inevitable until his quality of life was no longer good. Needless to say, it was like ripping my heart out of my chest and I said I would not go through this again, but we did, only to have to lose another beloved pet.
