Mikki was our baby girl for 16 years. She was such a good dog, but as a puppy she was a little rascal. She loved to get her little pink belly rubbed, and had the cutest little butt and swagger when she walked. She had been drinking water excessively and losing weight for the past few weeks, and when she had an accident we figured it was just a urinary tract infection. She was more or less diagnosed with kidney failure on 5/24/11, and the remainder of the week was long as we watched over her; she got worse 5/27/11 and we knew the end was near. She was buried in the country next to my brother-in-law’s three other dogs. I keep trying to rationalize things but this sadness is very strong, I miss her so much. Mikki was independent but loving, extremely well cared for but loved her little treats (“cookies”). When she was younger she loved to play with her toys, and to the end she slept with my wife and I. We love you so much Mikki, and we dearly miss you. Julie and Mike
