Gator

I have always been a dog lover, and have owned some pretty great dogs. When I met my husband six years ago, I fell in love with his first child- a boxer named Gator. Gator was the most lovable, the most gentle giant I have ever met. He loved to cuddle on our laps and crawl into bed on Sunday mornings.

Early this summer, Gator's heart weakened. Through our wonderful vet, we were able to stablize his condition through a prescription diet and medication. Sadly, on the morning of August 7th, we couldn't watch him suffer anymore. We reluctantly put him down. My husband, daughter and I were all by his side holding his head and whispering I love yous. We miss him everday, but have faith that Jesus has a spot in heaven for our boy.

I have so many wonderful memories of this great dog! He was such a protector, and spent a lot of his time sitting in front of our house watching the traffic below. We would watch from our window as he would sit there for hours on end. Here's to Gator, our guardian, best friend, and first child! We love you big boy!
