I got my Ladybug at the Kansas City Animal Shelter. I had gone there to look for a dog I'd been trying to capture for a couple of weeks that had suddenly disappeared from where I was leaving the food and water.
I kept walking by her kennel and she would 'plop' over and show me her belly each time I walked by. This was no small feat since one of her front legs was bleeding and appeared broken....Long story short, I ended up adopting her. She was a foster for about a month after I had gotten her leg fixed (it WAS broken) and the cuts healed. She has played with MANY other dogs and puppies that I fostered or transported; she was very social with them even if it was a short stay. She always welcomed them.
Bug was a great 'frisbee' dog. She was able to catch them AFTER doing a mid-air flip. The KC Chiefs could've used her as a blocker when we played soccer. She was so good. I had just gotten another baby pool 3 weeks ago and she loved it. She was chasing the hose in the pool as it was filling it up with water. After it was full, she then completely immersed herself in it and then just stayed there in it for 20 minutes! And then she went rolled in some dirt! She was so funny!
She cost me a lot of money ie) electric fence and then the privacy fence because she felt the need to 'herd' everyone she could see even me as I was mowing the yard..........I don't regret any of it. I loved her. She gave me great love and loyalty....unconditional love. She never left me. I'll never forget her. You are now free to play with Shade, Hershey, Casey, and all the other fosters that had gone before you. Bug is another dog that will forever be in my heart.
