Chopper was a huge part of out family, and there is now a huge void in our life. We got him from a kennel when he was 3 months old. He was not a show dog because he had had hernia surgery. He was a big ball of wrinkles. He was so loving and full of energy. He loved to play ball and run.
You could hear him snore a mile away. He knew which presents and stocking were his a Christmas time. He use to jump up and sleep in the bed with me during the day when I worked night shift. He has always slept on my side of the bed.
He was getting old and hurting, I had to let him go. I just am so sad. I was with him though.
To night it has been 3 days since he has been gone, and something strange happened. I have been asking for a sign that he was ok, I miss him so much. A dog, looked like some sort of boxer, in the face looked almost like looking at chopper. He also did the same funny cocking his head that chopper used to do. We let him in and played with him for a while, I am sure someone missed him terribly.
He brought some short lived joy to us, because he looked so much like chopper. He only stayed about 30 minutes then was gone. I would like to think that he was sent here by him, to comfort us. He will always been in our hearts ------ chopper dog!
