You were not only the family canine, but a brother, a loyal companion, and my best friend. I was never alone because of you. From the moment we got you, to Christmas evening when we had to say goodbye. You were such a fantastic dog, from playing, to your love of food, your smiles, to you laying outside in the sun, to you just wanting attention. There was never a dull moment in life with you.
I miss our good mornings, and our good nights. I miss the kisses that followed with both. I will miss the sound of your paws walking across the floor, and the sounds of your voice as you got so excited when we came home. I wish I knew it was your time, so I could have given you one more special day, one more full day of hugs, and playing.
I am so thankful your death was quick and painless, and that God made sure of that when he took you home on such a joyous day. As much as our hearts are broken, we can rest easily knowing you are in a better place, happier, and being free from the issues you suffered on earth.
We'll love you forever lumpy bear. Sleep tight buddy.
