Benjamina (Benji) came to our family on February 10, 1996 when a friend found her roaming the streets. She was straggly looking and my firend called me and asked if we wanted a "Benji" dog. When I got to her house I realized Benji was a girl, so she got the name Benjamina. She was loved by friends and family. She was like a grandchild to her Papa and her parents first child. She kept her mommy company when her dad would go out to sea. Once the children came, she handled it well and would even tattle on them when they got out of hand. She loved to be with adults and receive love and her little sister Megan. She enjoyed going everywhere with her family when she was younger and in later years she would occasionally stay with her grandparents ito avoid taking long trips. She was sick for less than a week and waited for her mom to stop the bsuy activites of the day so she could say good-bye.
