Our Jenny was sooo speciall! She truly was a part of our family...another daughter! We rescued her 5 years ago, days away from being put down, only because she was 'old' and they didn't think anyone would want her! UGH!
The day we got her, only my husband and I knew! We picked her up and had to immediately take her to be groomed, she was dirty and full of matted fur, sooo sad! Took her to the groomer and came home to get our children off the bus...took them with us to Pet Smart and the kids and I went in to 'find a toy for gramma's dog' while hubby stayed in the car' this was a sneaky plan! hehee Hubby parked the car and went to pick her up and found the kids and I in the store with Jenny on the leash! "Who's dog is that Dad?" "Our's" he replied...ohhhh happy day!
Jenny was a joy from day one! She loved her fenced in yard, though she loved to romp in our small front yard for some reason...she'd ring the lil bell on the front door...as if to say "its rompin' time" soooo precious!
She had her issues; she needed a few surgeries while she was with us, was diagnosed with arthritis and Cushings Disease...but we dealt with it all and treated the symptoms! Our vet always told us when he saw her "she looks better and happier everytime I see her" She failed quickly with a torn ligament in one of her rear legs and she's couldn't withstand another surgery...she couldn't even squat to 'potty' anymore...so it was time....
One of the most difficult decisions my husband and I have had to make...but we know Jenny KNEW she was truly loved, especially those last 5 years!
We will always remember and love our angel Jenny-girl! :)
