I must have done something right to have been gifted with such an amazingly special, sweet dog like Bailey. I learned how to love because of her. Fifteen+ years of wonderful memories; she never gave me anything but unconditional love and acceptance. She went from upstate NY to LA; then to NYC and Cape Cod; a brief stop in Boston and then finally, Connecticut and Vermont. She went on airplanes and stayed in awesome hotels. She was by my side during heartaches caused by relationships and stress caused by work (or moving for work!). Working in entertainment, it was Bailey who was the star. Having to make arrangements for her care because of work travels, she got to know kennels and good friends very well. She won over everyone. An employee of The Hollywood Dog Training School (home of the original Lassie) where she stayed at times, told me she was, "one of the best dogs we've ever had. She is everybody's favorite." Bailey did me proud. Her grandparents were there to watch her, too. They have other grandpets, but I secretly believe Bailey was their favorite. She spent lots of time with them and they each had a special relationship with her. She was that kind of dog. Bailey was my clone. She loved the beach (mostly during off-season) and the mountains with snow. She was my travel companion, my walking partner, my sleeping buddy (when she could still get on the bed), my dinner pal, my beach stroller, my companion, my friend, my baby. There was nothing that a good beach walk or ball throw (or both) couldn't cure. My heart is so heavy these days without her at my side, but I remain committed to knowing that Bailey is in a better place now. I miss her loving presence more than I can adequately express.

Rest in peace, my sweet angel.
