Molly was a great dog...when my wife & me brought her home, we should have realized she'd be special. That first night she cried and cried when we put her in a box for her to sleep....as soon as we took her out and put her in our bed, she settled right down and went to sleep. Before we got our back yeard fenced, when we would take her out to go to teh bathroom, we would take her out on a leash...and hold an umbrella over her when it rained. We remember her getting so excited in the car when we went to the park...she liked the park, but didn't want to walk in the neighborhood. She loved getting involved with opening Christmas presents...she would help the person opening the gift by tearing into the wrapping paper and then shredding it up into pieces. Her favorite game was playing fetch with her white soft ball...she would always bark at it when she chased it. She would sometimes come downstairs into the living room with a sock in her mouth...strutting around the living room as if to say "Look at me!". She always wanted attention...if you played a card or board game on the floor, she would get in the middle of the game and drop her ball right on top of the game. When I did yardwork, she would drop her ball in front of me...so I ended up playing a game of fetch with her while I was doing the trimming. When she came in from outside, she would always stop before going into the kitchen so we could wipe off her paws. When you petted her and then stopped, but if she wanted more, she would paw your hand. She sometimes would get me or my wife up at 7AM on a Saturday, only to sometimes be laying on the couch by the time we got downstairs. She loved treats (like all dogs),and would come running into the kitchen when we said "treat". She especially loved cereal, and in the summertime, corn on the cob!
